Drag News Magazine wishes to announce that we will no longer be able to cover 400 Thunder drag racing events beginning with this weekend’s Winternationals.
This comes as the result of the actions of current 400 Thunder management (not Sydney Dragway or Willowbank Raceway) and unreasonable demands that have been made ahead of the event. 400 Thunder has chosen to revoke Drag News Magazine’s media accreditation and it is now untenable for us to cover 400 Thunder events.
Drag News Magazine has no affiliation to any governing body or series. We do not work for 400 Thunder and are not responsible for its event PR. We are an independent company and report on the sport from a news perspective – not a promotional one. We feature racers and tell their stories. We are drag racing’s biggest fans, but we are not responsible for providing PR and promotion for a series.
We apologise to the racers, fans and sponsors of the Winternationals and future 400 Thunder events for not being able to record your accomplishments.
What you do is amazing and you deserve better. We will continue to serve the fantastic drag racers of Australia in all other areas to the best of our abilities.
We wish you all the best for this weekend and future 400 Thunder events.
Thank you,
Luke Nieuwhof
