Given Steve’s belief that the tracks play a critical stakeholder role in the sport, along with the challenges that the weather delivered to Queensland and Willowbank Raceway this year, Steve has decided to focus solely on his role as the Managing Director of Willowbank Raceway.
Steve, who formally resigned from the ANDRA Board on Monday morning August 22, is now in a position to dedicate 100% of his time to lead Willowbank through its next exciting development phase. Willowbank Raceway has provided an amazing service to the sport of Drag Racing over 25 years and will most certainly benefit from having Steve’s undivided attention as it expands its operations as a major entertainment and training facility.
Steve’s experience in motorsport is extensive and will be missed by the Board of ANDRA. His resume includes an extensive ANDRA Club and Divisional Council involvement plus senior management roles at Calder Park, Adelaide International Raceway, PROCAR Australia, Octagon International, V8 Supercars and a long history on the ANDRA NCC. The ANDRA Board would like to acknowledge the tremendous commitment and contribution that Steve has made, and looks forward to working with him, albeit in a different capacity.
