Stuart Bishop and his Diamond Doorslammer has fallen short of making it through to eliminations due to a broken clutch linkage which pulled him through on the line on the final qualifying pass.

The team was hoping to make through the to the end field but the bump was at 6.326. Previous best pass of the Diamond Door slammer being 6.527 at 227.11 Mph. It was an unexpected day of racing with the likes of Victor Bray, Ben Bray and current number one door slammer John Zappia also having missed out on qualifying.

The team stepped up their already impressive Pit Area by launching the new Diamond Lounge today.

“Our sponsors could get up close to our team and enjoy what drag racing has to offer,” said Stuart Bishop.

“The personal touch to the lounge was greatly excepted by the guests on the day”.

On a personal note – good friend to Stuart Bishop, Tony De Felice has made it through to eliminations for the first time running a 6.201 pass at 232.35 Mph. Congratulations from all the Stuart Bishop Racing team.
