There has been some angst with the recent announcement from ANDRA about the combining of Super Street and Super Sedan at the national level of competition. It is important to note that this will only effect National Championship events and unlikely to have any bearing on regular local track run events.

Willowbank Raceway is one track that has already announced there will be no change in their Track Championship plans in respect to the national level change and released the following statement:

The Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) recently announced the introduction of a new Top Sportsman bracket to its national competition roster, which will change the upper and lower cut-offs for the Super Sedan bracket and see the Super Street category amalgamated into Super Sedan.

Willowbank Raceway acknowledges this announcement by ANDRA for its national series, but would like to reassure its competitors that the Super Street bracket will continue to be supported and run at the Raceway.”

It would be safe to assume this would be the case for every track.
