With the NSW Premier promising a some-what return to normal life once the state reaches its vaccination targets, Sydney Dragway which has been out of action for the best part of the last two years has announced its 2022 return to racing calendar.
The calendar features the newly announced and highly anticipated Australian Top Fuel Championship kicking off with their inaugural event in January. The traditional Nitro Champs and Atlantic Oil East Coast Nationals events will return to the venue in May and November respectively. The popular and hotly contested NSW Track Championship Series hits the track in February for the first of eight rounds. There will be plenty of very popular specialist promoter events including, Jamboree, Kenda Tires 660 Drag Radial Series and Grudge Kings. And the weekly Aeroflow Race 4 Real events will also continue along with other calendar staples including Test & Tunes, Bike Nights and Sunday Street Meets.
Calendar is subject to change obviously in these turbulent times, but hopefully 2022 will be a more stable year for Australian drag racing.
