After coming oh-so-close at Saturday’s South Coast 660, Matt Forbes is hoping he can take a victory this weekend at the Festival State Nationals and in doing so, become the first in Australia to claim national event wins in five different racing brackets.
The Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship has rung in the new year in style at South Coast Raceway this weekend, with more than 140 competitors taking to the Portland venue for the South Coast 660 – the first NDRC event of 2024.
Drag racing fanatics don’t have to wait long for the first NDRC event of 2024, with the South Coast 660 taking over South Coast Raceway this Saturday and Sunday (January 6/7) as more than 140 Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship racers do battle for prestigious Christmas Tree trophies and valuable championship points.
The National Drag Racing Championship has today announced major improvements to the Season One Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship calendar, including an additional dedicated sportsman event in QLD, points boosts for Eastern Conference motorcycle competitors, a Melbourne double header, and a new date for the Sportsman National Grand Final.
South Coast Raceway will ensure 2024 gets off to a brilliant start in a few weeks’ time, with its January 6-7 South Coast 660 event to host a fantastic line-up of Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship racers as part of the National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC).
With a record-setting performance at the Perth Motorplex recently, Morice McMillin raced into the title lead for the National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC)’s Nitro Funny Car title chase. Now the Aeroflow pilot is predicting big things for the next round, to be held at Dragway at The Bend across January 13-14.
Round two of the new National Drag Racing Championship saw the debut of the flame-throwing Nitro Funny Cars plus Pro Alcohol, Pro Stock and Pro Mod at the Sydney Nationals for the inaugural series.
Hydraulink Jim Read Racing is pleased to announce that highly respected US company Edelbrock, through its Comp Cams brand, will be supporting the team across the remainder of the 2023/2024 NDRC Top Fuel Championship season.
