Behind the butterfly wheel of the Gulf Western Oil Sainty/Holmes Funny Car at just 22 years old, Cruz Lovering will be going head to head with a field of seasoned performers that includes the best there ever has been in Pro Alcohol this weekend (November 15/16) at Sydney Dragway.
Pro Stock Motorcycle is undergoing a resurgence on and off track right now, the competitor numbers have never been better with the new NDRC and PDRC series kicking goals, and their professionalism off track is shining through to reinvigorate the class. On the back of this we are witnessing the return of iconic names from the past once again throwing their leg over a Pro Stock Motorcycle.
The newest and most exciting Drag Racing series in Australia, the Pro Drag Racing Championship, heads to Sydney Dragway for its inaugural event to kick off the 2024-25 Championship Season. In conjunction with the NDRC, the PDRC will host Pro Alcohol, Pro Mod, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Motorcycle and will also introduce a new exhibition category in Pro Import this weekend specifically for Rotary and four or six cylinder powered cars. Competitors in championship categories will race for NDRC Championship points, with the season cumulating when the NDRC and PDRC come together at the Nitro Champs in Sydney and The Winternationals at Willowbank for the series Grand Final.
Damian Muscat had a very good evening at Dragway at the Bend’s Drag Bike Nationals on Saturday, not only laying down the quickest Top Fuel Motorcycle pass in the country, but also taking out A-Final victory over runner-up Rob Cassar for what was the first round of the 2024/2025 NDRC Top Fuel Motorcycle Championship.
Dragway At The Bend has again proved it’s the domain for record setters after the venue added another Australian Record to its credentials in its relatively short operating life. Damian Muscat aboard his Nitro Phoenix Top Fuel Motorcycle belted out a 5.800 at 245MPH (394.96KPH) to eclipse all who have come before him.
After spending the majority of last season on the side-lines, Clint George, driver of the Stress Racing GXP is preparing to drop the clutch on a new NDRC/PDRC Pro Stock championship season when Round 1 fires up at Sydney Dragway on November 15 and 16.
Damian Muscat’s monumental return to Top Fuel Motorcycle last season was a hard fought one for the former National Champion despite Muscat not being new to the class, this new blown inline four-cylinder nitro bike sure did get his attention.
The Harbour City Nationals delivered an action packed day and night of racing at Benaraby Dragway for the NDRC’s Aeroflow National Sportsman racers at the weekend.
Pro Stock racer Brian Pursell has committed to making the long haul this season chasing the NDRC Pro Stock Championship, with the North Queenslander’s first stop being Sydney Dragway where he joins tough field of racers for PDRC Pro Stock opener on November 15 and 16.
