Second-generation racer Angel Bakranich heads to next weekend’s MacTrack Westernationals at the Perth Motorplex on a high after securing her first event victory last week.
The House and Land Expert Nitro Slam event is set to bring plenty of action to the Perth Motorplex this Saturday (January 29), featuring the Direct Mining International Summer Slam, the BME/Speedtorque WA Nitro Max Series, Dragon Bikes Nitro Bike, 150 of WA’s toughest Sportsman racers, and an exciting ‘Pit Party’ bringing fans up close and personal with their favourite racing heroes.
Following the recent announcement regarding hard border closures made by the WA Government, the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) and the Perth Motorplex regret to confirm that Top Fuel Australia will be unable to attend the 2022 Westernationals event scheduled to be held at the Motorplex across March 5-6.
The Perth Motorplex wishes to advise that the drag racing event scheduled for this Saturday (8 January) has now been postponed to the 29th of January.
On Saturday January 8 the Perth Motorplex will welcome the New Year in style with the thrilling drag racing action of Nitro Slam.

Ricky Wood may have lost the opportunity to make the most of his Top Fuel Motorcycle finals berth at the weekend’s Goldenstates, but that doesn’t mean the weekend wasn’t a successful one for the North Yunderup racer.
