When the Aeroflow Spring Nationals descends on Dragway at The Bend this weekend (October 18-20), what is expected to be a packed crowd will be treated to no-end of on and off-track fireworks as the opening rounds of the 2024/2025 Top Fuel, XPRO Nitro Funny Car and Top Doorslammer NDRC Championships get underway.

Now after a decade since the Nova terrorised dragstrips and timing cones, Mamone has re-taken ownership of the iconic machine and is planning his comeback.
The National Drag Racing Championship has today revealed a comprehensive national championship calendar. This announcement includes the much-anticipated professional categories as well the second half of the Aeroflow Sportsman Championship Series.
There was no shortage of incredible National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) action on track today for what was the penultimate day of the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway – the season finale for the inaugural NDRC championship and also the Eastern Conference final for the Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship.
One of the most intense championship battles of the NDRC season to date has been the one unfolding in Top Doorslammer, with 11-time champ John Zappia and breakthrough rookie Russell Taylor trading wins and the lead throughout.
John Zappia endured a somewhat cursed Nitro Champs at Sydney Dragway, with his Dananni Hotshots/Fuchs Lubricants Monaro Top Doorslammer encountering problem after problem.
It is all systems go for the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals as the final stages of Willowbank Raceway’s track surface upgrades near completion.
Daniel and Lisa Gregorini enjoyed arguably their most successful event as a team, leaving Sydney Dragway’s Nitro Champs with a victory for Daniel and Lisa’s quickest ever time down the quarter-mile.
Lisa and Daniel Gregorini are fourth and fifth in the NDRC Top Doorslammer chase as the championship heads to Sydney Dragway for Australia’s biggest nitro-fuelled event, the Nitro Champs, across May 17-19.
