After a tough opening round to the ANDRA Pro Series Pro Stock action, Mopar Pro Stock racer Lee Bektash is looking for a vastly improved performance at the 2nd round at Queensland’s Willowbank Raceway.
With two solid weeks of racing and testing under his belt late November, Bektash is hungry for his First ANDRA Pro Series win after tasting victory at Calder Park Raceway.
“The Mopar Dodge has been running great and to run like we did in some tough conditions shows we are heading in the right direction, we also have brought in Tomi Laine from the United states to help the boys in our quest to be the first 6 second 400ci Pro Stocker and to win that elusive first ANDRA Pro Series event,” said Bektash
For the 2010/2011 season Lee moved to a new engine builder and it looks to be paying dividends with some strong runs at the end of 2010.
“We have made some improvements with our Rick Watters engine and it’s like driving a bracket car, we had a small issue with the motor just before Christmas but Rick has it all sorted and we cannot wait for that first qualifying session on the 14th of January,” said Bektash.

The two-round New Year Series at Willowbank Raceway kicked off with round one over January 2/3 and will continue next weekend with round two across Friday January 14 and Saturday January 15, with the fire-throwing Nitro Funny Cars to be joined by Top Doorslammer and Pro Stock for the two-day event.
