Outlaw 10.5 racer Paul Mouhayet experienced a terrifying tyre blow out at the finish line after clocking a 6.13 at 244mph. For those not familiar with imperial speeds, that’s a loss of control at almost 400kmh.
Amazingly with the chutes out Mouhayet was able to bring the car to safe stop. The timing was unfortunate, coming ahead of this weekend’s APSA finals at Sydney Dragway.
The Moits Ford Mustang is currently the fastest Outlaw 10.5 car in the world, having run 252.95mph.
