Shane Weston has prepared well for the season ahead in Top Comp at Perth Motorplex with a pair of 5.8 second times recorded in testing today.
Weston has the support of K-Trans this season, who are also on board with Maurice Brennan’s Top Doorslammer.
Weston, who turned 18 two weeks ago, firmly impressed last season when he debuted in the dragster with many five second laps.
The partnership with K-Trans has allowed the Weston family to fix the engine after some major mechanical damage that occurred at the last event of the season.
The team said they were happy with the performance of the car today, running a 6.22, a 5.87 and a 5.84, consistency that will go a long way to putting them at the pointy end of Top Comp.
Weston will be out and racing on Saturday at the Perth Motorplex Grand Opening.
