THE BAT IS BACK

Jeff Cutajar cut his first laps in the original and once world record holding Batmobile Top Doorslammer campaigned by Peter Kapiris. The car now owned by Jason Cunliffe has finally been returned to its former glory and active duty, with a best of 6.17 during testing yesterday that was found out to be run on just 7 cylinders.

The team ironed out a few legacy bugs in the setup before the 6.17 full pass, and with Cutajar’s licensed signed off the car is likely destined for Pro Mod. It is planned for owner Jason Cunliffe to strap in to drive once the car is fully sorted.

“Couldn’t be happier,” said Cutajar. “Struggled today with car going left when we gave it some more mumbo, so we did some old school stuff with tyres and went 6.17 at 234 to find out it was on 7 cylinders, coil lead was off on number 8.

“I would like to thank Jason Cunliffe who owns the Batmobile, love you bro, its a dream come true.”
