The wheel standing RX7 is back

Word is Brad Baker had his Mazda RX7 arrive back in Darwin on Friday after being based in New South Wales where Baker competed at Sydney Dragway. Mechanical problems hindered his chances at the 2010 Jamboree but Baker is set to take on the traditional V8’s in an ongoing friendly rivalry this season at Hidden Valley.

Known locally for his massive wheel stands, the RX7 is no slouch. Capable of mid 8 second passes at 150mph Baker is sure to be at the top end of the Super Sedan field at Hidden Valley’s Grand Re-Opening on the 13-14 May.
Baker has changed the entire rear end on the car since its last outing at Hidden Valley, tubbing the rear to fit the bigger rubber needed to keep the little rotor in a straight line.

Rumour has it that the RX7 also spits out a mean flame that is sure to keep Jordy (Hidden Valley’s resident Starter) on his toes.
