It is very sad to report that Joe Gatt passed away this evening, our sincerest condolences to the entire Gatt family and his many many friends. Drag racing icon, legend, royalty have all been used today to describe the one we have affectionately known as Buzzard, R.I.P

As many would know drag racing legend Joe “Buzzard’ Gatt, the driving force behind Benny Gatt and Super Flow Heads has been battling serious health concerns for some time.
The Gatt family have asked us to pass on that Joe Gatt’s condition has worsened with Buzzard being admitted to hospital and to keep him in your thoughts at this time.
Drag News Australia staff wish to pass on their sincerest best wishes to Buzzard and the whole Gatt family in hope for good news.
Joe “Buzzard” Gatt was given the honour recently to act as starter for brother Benny and their famed former record breaking Falcon Top Doorslammer.
