It is with great regret that Top Fuel has decided to postpone its Summernats Slam event scheduled for October 1 and 2 at Heathcote Park Raceway. There are a number of factors behind the decision, including heavy wet weather experienced in the last month, with even more forecast for the next couple of weeks leading to the event.
Andy Lopez, Top Fuel promoter said, “The decision to postpone was not made lightly. The Slam show is much bigger than our May event, and with the rain and other pressures, we all need more time to be ready to stage a full field of Top Fuel, Doorslammer, Pro Mod, Pro Stock and sportsman categories. Spectators and entrants will receive a full refund including booking fees over the next week, and we’ll announce a time that we can return to HPR as soon as we can.”
“HPR is a fantastic venue, a sensational organisation, and they continue to run excellent drag racing events including Garrett Advancing Motion Jamboree coming up in the next couple of weeks. It’d be great to see ticket holders use their refund to buy a ticket to top quality racing at Jambo and support HPR.”
