Muliple time Pro Mod World Champion Mike Janis and co-crew chief Kevin Peters are returning Down Under for the debut of fellow racer and good friend Sean Mifsud’s, Andy McCoy built 1970 Duster.
The Duster ironically is no unfamiliar ride for Mike Janis as it was his former ADRL Competition car.
Sean and his crew have been busy preparing the car to get it ready for this years Top Doorslammer series. Sean has gone back to his grass roots opting to use the latest technology in Roots Style Superchargers from Mike Janis Superchargers, as opposed to the conventional PSI Screw Superchargers used by nearly all Top Doorslammer teams. Sean also has opted to use a Mike Janis modified automatic transmission set-up.
The Duster will feature Mike Janis’s latest technology in engine, fuel system and supercharger development. Also featured on the car will be a Mike Janis Superchargers custom made carbon fiber injector hat which has been a major part of his research and development of late.
Due to Sean’s unfortunate accident at Portland Slamfest, the Dusters debut has been delayed until the Nitro Champs. Sean suffered a broken leg and fractured ribs and if he doesn’t pass a medical examination seeing him fit to drive, Mike Janis will be taking the pilot seat of the Mike Janis Superchargers / Jan-Cen Racing Engines flagship.
Mike will be kept busy with testing on the Wednesday prior to the Nitro Champs, as he will be also assisting fellow racer’s as per the likes of Stuart Bishop, Tony DeFelice, Stephen Dupond and Sean Misfud’s second team car driven by Paul Cannuli. All these race cars also have been supplied with Mike Janis Superchargers / Jan-Cen Racing Engines Race Technology.
