In some very sad news to report before Christmas, very popular ACT racer Dennis Moreau passed away suddenly today, and last week NSW racer Sean Brown also passed unexpectedly.
The news has stunned the racing community with both racers extremely popular among everyone, tributes have started to flow for Dennis who is being remember as one of the kindest and nicest racers around the pits. Moreau would be best remembered for his blown Alfa Romeo terrorising Canberra Dragway and the rest of the country in Competition and Wild Bunch duties before debuting his 1937 Ford Supercharged Outlaws coupe at Sydney Dragway, which is still one of the most stunning race cars ever to be on track.
The NSW Modified scene and former ECR racers in particular are equally shocked with the news of Sean Brown. Sean won the Super Street National Championship in the early 90’s and was known as the toughest competitor to face in that time, since then Sean has raced a FED at Sydney Dragway along with being crew member for a host of NSW Modified racers such Greg Smith, Joe Zullo, Tim Neilsen, Mark Bool and Jim Denaro.
Drag News Australia send its deepest sympathies to the families of Dennis and Sean at this time.
