Collin Willshire in the Jett Racing Eclipse has just smashed both ends of the Four Cylinder World Record in testing at Willowbank Raceway.
After showing huge potential the the Winternationals running a World Record speed at 225mph on a 6.34 personal best, the Jett Racing team were back at Willowbank Raceway today (June 29) to get after the other end of the record.
Earlier passes netted the billet 4G63 powered Eclipse a 6.41 and a 6.31 before firing a shot that will be heard around the world with a 6.261 at 229mph.
The run smashes the previous standard of 6.296 held by Canada’s Carl Brunet in a GM Ecotec powered Pontiac GXP.
