The long awaited international debut of John Zappia has taken place in Tulsa, Oklahoma today, with the ten times Australian Top Doorslammer champion taking the Noonan Race Engineering Camaro out for its first test hits ahead of the PDRA event this weekend.
The first two shakedowns saw the car move out of the groove somewhat, but the team will no doubt be on to the set up of the car, which uses plenty of Noonan horsepower up front.
Update: The team finished their day with one more run, a strong 3.69/204mph over the eighth mile. Looks like these guys are ready to play!
