Kelvin Lyle’s new Ford Mustang Pro Slammer has made its first test runs in Richmond, Virginia ahead of being shipped back to Australia.
Lyle was hospitalised after a crash in January at Willowbank Raceway that wrote off his previous Ford Mustang, but fortunately had a new car already being built at the time. This one has all the latest and greatest gear, including a five speed Liberty with converter.
Lyle’s crew chief Jon Salemi finished off the car in New York and the team went testing, where they produced a 3.76 to the eighth mile (with a .938 short time).
Given Lyle was in a great position in the 400 Thunder Pro Slammer Championship earlier this season, we can’t wait to see what he will be capable of when the new season begins later this year.
