Australia has chalked up yet another Import or Sport Compact World Record – this one going to the GAS Racing camp.
Last weekend during a Sydney Dragway test and tune, Nathan Hagenson piloted his GAS Racing prepped 2JZ powered Camry to a 6.38 at 218mph – becoming the quickest import in the world equipped with an auto.
Hagenson is only new to the car and the team have had a bumpy ride coming to terms with the power. Hagenson himself has had to learn to drive a vastly different machine to what he has been used to in the past.
Now that some serious boost is being pumped into the 2JZ, hang on for the record to be lowered a bunch more.
