Rod Harvey’s 2JZ-powered Toyota Camry has moved ever closer to the world record after a 5.708 blast in testing ahead of the Jamboree.
Harvey improved on his previous personal best by two hundredths of a second and is now well within striking distance of the 5.660 world record.
Amazingly, the 256mph was made into a very strong headwind, giving the team plenty of confidence ahead of Australia’s biggest sport compact event in just under two weeks.
