Street meets are fun events at drag racing venues around Australia – you just never know what is going to show up. At Perth Motorplex on Wednesday night it was a twin turbo Lamborghini that was turning heads.
A stock Lamborghini would ordinarily attract attention, but this one was even more special, having received upgrades from USA-based Underground Racing, who produce some of the quickest and fastest Lambos in the world.
From Underground Racing: “G’day mate! Recently, John K flew all the way from Australia to pick up his right-hand drive 2011 Lamborghini LP560-4, after being equipped with the UR Stage 3 Twin Turbo system here at Underground Racing. John took his Twin Turbo Lamborghini on a cross country road trip from Charlotte, North Carolina to California and back with several other stops on the way. On the way to California he met with our team at the WannaGoFast half mile event in Sulphur Springs, Texas to see how his car would do. After making several passes at the event at over 190+ mph he then made his way to California and then drove back to our headquarters in Charlotte for his car to be prepared for shipment back to Australia. His total road trip consisted of over 8,500 miles while putting his car through 1/2 mile racing and numerous types of elevations and terrain. What a great way to test his new build and make it a true experience!”
