It was a weekend to forget for a number of racers involved in some spectacular accidents across the US racing scene last weekend – fortunatley no one was seriously hurt in any of these accidents.
Bruce Mullins all but ended turtle after slapping the wall with his Pro Mod Corvette at Maryland International Raceway’s Door Wars event.
The IHRA Pro-Am event at Richmond Dragway saw the worst of the carnage. Nick Womack took a huge tumble in (I think) his Top Sportsman Cobalt and Marvin Napier flipped his Super Rod roadster over the wall – the footage shows how blessed we are with our safety crews in Australia.
And as alcohol racing legend Jay Payne showed – accidents still happen to the best of them.
Hope they fix the light right for ifo
