Sydney Modified racer Brett White has taken the plunge into blown Group Two racing while looking towards Top Alcohol.
White and wife Megan have purchased the Bob Meyer built ex Romac Top Alcohol dragster complete with BAE 463ci forged block, BAE Stage 5 heads and PSI supercharger.
White will strip the car down and give it a good going over before rebuilding it while going through the inventory before debuting the car.
“Plan is to debut the car around late December early January to start licensing, we will run local track championship meetings in Top Comp (AA/D).” said White.
“We are actively looking for marketing partners and have a few irons in the fire and if they work out we will look to move to TAD in the future.”
White previously drove Geoff Wrights Modified dragster for a number of years, but the new car will be a very different challenge.
“There is a big learning curve with this car compared to the cars I have driven before, different things like using a clutch and of course the speed,” he said
“My previous ride went as quick as 7.79 @ 174MPH while this car can run in the 5 second zone at over 240 MPH.
“We have assembled a crew we have all worked together before, there is Noel Parker who will be the crew chief, Andrew Priestley, Sam Belcastro, David Belcastro, David Orr and of course my wife Meagan. I can’t thank these guys enough for giving up their time to go racing.
