Tony Wood’s first foray into nitro-fuelled motorcycles has so far proved fruitful, clocking a personal best time of 7.34sec. towards the end of last season at Perth Motorplex.

Wood said the large steps they made came with great results and they are looking forward to the new season to produce more improvement.

“With a new paint scheme and more engine modifications we plan to do some exhibition passes and tune the motorcycle to compete in the Nitro Max meeting (in Top Fuel Motorcycle) in January,” he said.

The team will also be adding more vehicles as wife Jane returns to Modified Bike after taking a break for pregnancy and son Connor races in Junior Dragster.

“Jane is returning after ‘maternity leave’ with some engine upgrades to her Kawasaki to push her a bit closer to the mid-8sec. zone,” Tony said. “The team are also making the step into Junior Dragsters with Connor taking on the driving duties for the first time. This is exciting for the whole team to have another family member out on the race track.”
