Phil Lamattina has extended his run of Top Fuel wins to three following the first of two Westernationals championships rounds as Peter Kapiris returned to form in Top Doorslammer.

It was a great night for it as the 43rd Westernationals kicked into gear on Friday with qualifying for Round 3 of the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship.

The Kings of the Sport, Top Fuel are making there second championship appearance this season at Perth Motorplex and will feature a field of six nitro-burning dragsters.

Drag racing is a real family affair in more than one Adamos household as the passion and enthusiasm is passed from generation to generation, from the now closed Ravenswood International Raceway to the world class Perth Motorplex.

This weekends ANDRA Top Doorslammer Rounds 2 and 3 at the Westernationals in Perth will be very hot – both in temperature and competition, and the champ John Zappia is ready to give it all.
