The Nitro Champs, round two of the 2026 NDRC Pro Mod Championship at Sydney Dragway, delivered everything fans have come to expect from one of the toughest and most unpredictable categories in Australian drag racing.
After a disappointing — by his own standards — opening round of the Australian Top Doorslammer Championship at Dragway at The Bend in March, reigning back-to-back national champion Russell Taylor steadied the ship by claiming victory at the Gulf Western Oil Nitro Champs at Sydney Dragway yesterday.
Pro Stock Motorcycle launched its 2026 season in style at the Nitro Champs at Sydney Dragway, and the opening round delivered plenty of storylines as riders and teams laid down an early marker in what looks set to be a fiercely contested championship.
