The Goldenstates event in Perth in December will not be a national record setting event for Group 2 and 3 competitors, despite an application from the track to ANDRA.
In a statement issued to competitors, Perth Motorplex said they applied to ANDRA for the 39th annual Goldenstates to be recognised as a record setting meeting for Groups 2 and 3, with the ANDRA National Control Council (NCC) meeting in Adelaide last weekend to vote on the request.
“Unfortunately the NCC voted not to permit record setting by Groups 2 and 3 at the Goldenstates,” Perth Motorplex said.
The Goldenstates event, particularly during Ravenswood years, used to provide another opportunity for WA racers to reset records outside of the Westernationals.
