Drag News Magazine #21 feature car [JUNII] owned and steered by Robert Marjan out of Croyden Racing Developments has smashed the Street GT-R World Record at Sydney Dragway again.
The Street GT-R World Record for full street trim GT-Rs on radial tyres has been tossed around a few teams since we featured Marjan. John Aposto in [RH7GTR] from CV Performance grabbed the ET record before having a unfortunate crash at Calder Park, only to then see Anthony Maatouk go quicker again in [KING32].
Racing at the Nitto Performance Engineering GT-R Festival at Sydney Dragway last weekend set up the battle between all three record holders to throw down the best they had.
With $1000 on line for the record, Marjan conquered the crisp cool conditions and hooked up the CRD R32 GT-R to thump out a 7.661 run a 188.89MPH – both ends of the world mark.
Marjan and team were obviously estatic to reclaim the record and banked another $1000 for also winning the Radial Pro class.
This battle however may have been won, but the war is far from over.
