After the traditional wet season break there are plenty of teams are eager to dust off their race suits and get down to the track in what will be the first competition round of 2015 for Hidden Valley Dragway – this Saturday’s Track Championship series will kick off the venues 30th year of drag racing.

The Central Australian Drag Racing Association are set to receive a $1.1 million war chest handed down in the 2015 Budget to improve Alice Springs Inland Dragway to international standards.

Unfortunately bad weather meant the cancellation of the Nitro Champs prevented Sydneysider Carl ‘Chevy’ Taylor from making his Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series debut in Super Sedan.
It was suppose to be the first of a number lead up test and tunes for the Nitro Champs, before the disappointing news of the events cancellation due to impending weather. The test and tune itself was heavily effected by weather – but we did get some runs in, so here is what went down along with a great photo gallery.

The first attempt to run this years Nostalgia Drags at Willowbank Raceway was thwarted by a cyclone, second time around though Mother Nature was a little kinder. Here are the final round results and packed photo gallery covering the action.
Calder Park has posted a statement on their Facebook page updating the current situation for much awaited track upgrades – unfortunatley no news is still no news.

Victoria’s Wayne Price will debut his new Top Alcohol Funny Car next month at the largest championship drag racing event held outside of North America – the FUCHS Winternationals (June 4-7, Willowbank Raceway).

He’s one of the local heroes representing his hometown in the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars event to be held at Mackay’s Palmyra Raceway May 16, and Glenn Moore is stepping it up for his hometown race with a new monster engine combination for his Bad to Bone Pontiac.

On a sunny Anzac Day at Willowbank Raceway 207 entrants turned up to make the round the largest in the Series 6 year history. With the record entry list and the late start due to the Anzac Day regulations the Willowbank Raceway Officials did a great to get the meeting through.
