The Nitro Champs found its mojo in a one day pro format at Sydney Dragway, as sportsman eliminations were unfortunately rained out.

Two West Australian drag racers are heading east to take their first steps towards a possible 400 Thunder national title this weekend – the only problem is that they will be vying for the same trophy.
One of Australia’s most iconic motorsport teams will make a return to the sport of drag racing, with the LTFR team confirmed to compete at the Hidden Valley Drag Strip with long-time tuner, Aaron Hambridge doing the driving.
Hidden Valley Drag Racing Association is excited to announce the return of 10,000 horsepower, 500kmh nitro dragsters to Darwin in 2016.
Three-times consecutive Super Stock Champion (2008-2010) Nino Cavallo has added an ANDRA Drag Racing Series Pro Stock Championship to his resume following his hometown triumph at the Australian Nationals in January.
Aaron Lynch made a big impression on the pro levels of drag racing through the mid 2000s, running a Top Doorslammer, a Top Alcohol Funny Car and a Top Fuel dragster. But all did not go to plan in the opening qualifying session for the 2006 Goldenstates at Perth Motorplex.
Former national Top Fuel champion Martin Stamatis will make a return to racing at the Nitro Champs event in May at Sydney Dragway.
