The Australian Drag Racing Championship proceedings as part of the Perth Motorplex’s Goldenstates event at the weekend delivered plenty of great racing, upsets, and nail-biting runs
The 47th annual Goldenstates delivered plenty of action-packed races on Saturday evening at the Perth Motorplex, with the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series competitors putting on a great show in pursuit of ANDRA Christmas Trees.
More than 180 racers have completed a successful day one of the 47th Goldenstates at the Perth Motorplex on Friday evening (November 26).
The Kenda Tires Radial 660 Drag Radial Series has pushed on during the pandemic with the running of Radial Riot at Willowbank Raceway. Entrant numbers picked up despite interstate cars still unable to cross the border, and even though accidents and stoppages pushed the event past a 1am finish, the event again delivered classic wheels up drag radial action.
Life in the ‘hermit kingdom’ continues to be pretty good if you’re a drag racer, as yet another season has begun on time despite the global pandemic.
The 2021 Brisbane Jamboree had a rough time, with COVID forcing a postponement before Mother Nature had the final say on the second attempt. However it couldn’t dampen the spirits with the Halloween themed event still bringing a fun atmosphere.
