The 2024 NSW Track Championship fight is over with all the champions crowned at the Grand Finals. The event was held over two days alongside the PDRC professional series that forms part of the NDRC Championship, unfortunately rain washed out Friday and messed around with the schedule on Saturday, but everyone forged ahead and completed the event in the late evening.
The second NDRC season launched in thunderous style at Dragway At The Bend for the Spring Nationals with a nitro double-header featuring Top Fuel and Nitro Funny Car combined with Top Doorslammer to start their chase for the title, as the venue showed its teeth as a record eater.
The event was the official start of the new Perth Motorplex drag racing season, with Zappia versus Zappia a hot topic of discussion pre-event, the young Brodie Zappia would make his competition debut, continuing a family Top Doorslammer legacy.
Dragway At The Bend has again proved it’s the domain for record setters after the venue added another Australian Record to its credentials in its relatively short operating life. Damian Muscat aboard his Nitro Phoenix Top Fuel Motorcycle belted out a 5.800 at 245MPH (394.96KPH) to eclipse all who have come before him.
It was another big day of action at round four of the Queensland Drag Racing Championship as the series drives to it’s conclusion and crowning of Willowbank Track Champions.
It’s crunch time for racers. With the penultimate round of the 2024 NSW Track Championship wrapped up, the stage is now set for hard-fought showdowns at the upcoming Grand Final as another NSW Track Championship rapidly races towards its conclusion.
Zappia Racing is now ready to deliver the one-two punch on opponents at NDRC Top Doorslammer events with Brodie Zappia fully licensed for competition. Young Brodie was signed off with a 5.881 at 242mph in the MAX Plant Monaro an now will focus debuting at the Goldenstates next month.
The 2024 NSW Track Championship Series creeps closer to its crescendo with just two more rounds left for competitors to make their championship moves. Round 6 of the series ran smoothly and racers made the most of the ideal September conditions that bathed Sydney Dragway.
