The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car Series, where the cars are the stars, rumbled into Fuchs South Coast Raceway, Portland and delivered a feast of nitro flopper action over the short track.

Grant O’Rourke was one of three Top Doorslammer teams preparing for the ANDRA championship season opener in a pre-event test and tune on Wednesday at Perth Motorplex.

The new championship season for the ANDRA sportsman racers unfortunately met a soggy end but still delivered its fair share of drama, here is our event wrap and gallery.

The Outlaw Nitro Funny Car and Pro Street extravaganza at Sydney Dragway was a barnstormer, even if we had to wait a extra day! The biggest gathering of Nitro Funny Cars ever seen in Australia with 13 of the Outlaw Nitro variety put on a clinical display of side by side Nitro passes. American star Ron Capps driving the “LA Hooker” looked to have the goods on the field early on before Rick Gauci stepped up in the Nitro Express ’57 with a record breaking 5.69 taking the victory on ET countback in the final round.   The APSA Pro Street Grand Finals were also held in conjunction with the Outlaw Nitro event, the Pro Street guys and girls put on a another awesome display with their abuse of horsepower.
