The penultimate round of Willowbank Raceway’s Queensland Drag Racing Championship was completed last weekend with racers battling for the last remaining points to make an impact on their championship title chase.

Many doubted it would happen, and yes it took a lot longer than expected – and it is not finished yet – but drag racing has returned to Calder Park. The weather gods were in favour of racing back at the iconic venue turning on a spectacular day for a test and tune shakedown last Sunday.

An abundance of young race fans have enjoyed a chance to get up close and personal with their drag racing heroes at Queensland’s Hyperdome shopping centre ahead of next weekend’s Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car show at Willowbank Raceway.
