The lure of a Gulf Western Oil Winternationals title has attracted Pro Alcohol teams from around the country to contest Australia’s biggest drag racing event.

Day one of the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals has not only hosted plenty of on-track action and off-track preparation for around 500 race teams today, but also an enthusiastic group of students from Horizons College with Top Fuel team PremiAir Racing.

The official prelude to the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals took place over the weekend at Willowbank Raceway, as almost 200 teams participated in pre-event testing.

Two Californians will be travelling around the world to compete at the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway, with Ashley Sanford (Speedflow Top Fuel) and Katie Sullivan (Serco Pro Bike) ready to take on Australia’s best drag racers.

Awe-inspiring Top Fuel dragsters will be back at Willowbank Raceway for the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals and if the event’s history is anything to go by, fans should prepare for a spectacular weekend of 500 kph racing.

Following the announcement of the brand-new 2019 Garrett Melbourne Jamboree @ Swan Hill Dragway recently, Jamboree Australia Pty Ltd and Swan Hill Dragway are delighted to announce that the 2019 Melbourne Jamboree @ Swan Hill Dragway will happen on November 16 & 17 2019.

Shane Tucker was looking to duplicate his 2014 success at this year’s Route 66 NHRA Nationals. Five years ago Tucker raced to the semifinals just missing his first final round appearance. This year the young Australian had an up and down two days of qualifying but was optimistic about heading into eliminations as the No. 14 qualifier.

After a lengthy rain delay Shane Tucker and the Auzmet/StructGlass Chevrolet Camaro Pro Stock car will enter race day as the No. 14 qualifier. During the four qualifying sessions at the 22nd annual Route 66 NHRA Nationals Tucker showed glimpses of improvement and one flash of excitement.
