Among the many performance marks smashed during the running of Willowbank’s 51st Gulf Western Oil Winternationals was the raceway’s oldest track record.

The Winternationals saw the culmination of a Mega year for the Tremaniac drag racing team.

Queensland drag racer Josh Fletcher and father Bill got to live out a dream during the 51st annual Gulf Western Oil Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway last weekend, taking a 400 Thunder championship one-two in the Supercharged Outlaws division.

One of the greatest eras of domination in Australian motorsport came to an end last Sunday at Queensland’s Willowbank Raceway, where 11 times national Pro Slammer champion John Zappia finished runner up in the 400 Thunder Professional Drag Racing Series.

A veteran Queensland drag racing dynasty have enjoyed solid results for the 2017/18 400 Thunder season, with Shaun Doeblien and father Paul achieving runner ups in Super Street and Super Sedan respectively, while sister Nicole claimed sixth nationally in Modified.

Chris Matheson and his “Nitro Voodoo” Top Fuel Motorcycle dominated the Gulf Western Oil 51st Winternationals with a clean sweep in the Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson Top Bike category at Willowbank Raceway.

The Top Qualifiers of all brackets across the 18/19 Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series will once again receive a special award thanks to TileCo-TheShowerPeople and KC Tools.

  The 2017/18 400 Thunder Sportsman Drag Racing Championship drew to a close at the 51st Gulf Western Oil Winternationals on Sunday at Willowbank Raceway, with several categories going deep into the final rounds to determine their title holders.
