Spectators at the 2013 Nitro Champs at Sydney Dragway, May 3-5, will get more nitro methane than they ever bargained for with the ANDRA Drag Racing Series championships for Top Fuel and Top Bike being combined with the return of Nitro Funny Cars to Sydney Dragway.

Phil Lamattina and archrival Darren Morgan are locked together at the top of the ANDRA points standings after last weekend’s Super 3 Extreme Drag Race at Willowbank Raceway.

It is a new year and a new season at Sydney Dragway, with the NSW Track Championship season moving to a calendar year that was kicked off with over 200 racers for round one in March.

In consultation with ANDRA, Sydney Dragway and Top Fuel Australia Limited take great pleasure in announcing that Top Fuel will be at the 2013 Sydney Nitro Champs. Both organisations acknowledge the commercial challenges in meeting an outcome, yet through maintaining strong relations and listening to the fans, Top Fuel will run at the Event.

February 10th 2013 will be remembered as historical day for Top Fuel Drag Racing in Australia, when a majority of Top Fuel team owners met in Sydney to discuss a unified approach to the promotion and long term sustainability of the class.
