Perth-based Allan Dobson will be looking to win his second Nitro Champs title when the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Pro Series Top Fuel championship returns to Sydney Dragway (SD), Eastern Creek, this weekend, Friday to Sunday, April 30-May 1.  

Top Fuel rookie, Mark Mariani, will be looking for his first Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Pro Series Top Fuel championship event win when the seventh annual Nitro Champs is staged at Sydney Dragway (SD), Eastern Creek, this weekend, Friday to Sunday, April 30-May 2. 

Sydney Dragway Managing Director, Tony Beuk, has announced changes to the Louie Rapisarda Top Fuel Tribute following the rained-out Summernationals event at SD in February.

Last weekend Victorian Darren Morgan emerged from the ENZED Australian Top Fuel Championship at Willowbank raceway with a semi final performance after the AEG Powertools dragster was knocked out of eliminations by the fastest run of the year so far.

This nostalgia-style Funny Car was spotted at the Westernationals, first lurking up in the Speedway area but then moved to the pits in the dark of night. Rumour was that it was destined for somewhere outside of the Perth Motorplex however.

The Enzed Top Fuel Championships at Willowbank Raceway this weekend have seen a change in leadership for the championship in Top Fuel, with Martin Stamatis coming out five points ahead of defending champ Phil Lamattina.
