It’s busy season at South Coast Raceway in Portland, Victoria with back to back sportsman championship events over the Christmas – New Year period. Take a look back at the first up was the South Coast Nationals gallery before racers return for the NDRC South Coast 660 event in January.
The National Drag Racing Championship has today announced major improvements to the Season One Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship calendar, including an additional dedicated sportsman event in QLD, points boosts for Eastern Conference motorcycle competitors, a Melbourne double header, and a new date for the Sportsman National Grand Final.
South Coast Raceway will ensure 2024 gets off to a brilliant start in a few weeks’ time, with its January 6-7 South Coast 660 event to host a fantastic line-up of Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship racers as part of the National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC).

From Nitro Funny Car track records that were broken and then re-broken, to a history-making Top Doorslammer final match-up, day one of the Goldenstates has been a truly amazing affair for the NDRC in Perth Friday evening.
Day one of the 49th Goldenstates has seen Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series competitors entertain on-track alongside NDRC Nitro Funny Cars, Top Doorslammers, Top Fuel Motorcycles and Pro Alcohol competitors at the Perth Motorplex Friday evening in hot and humid conditions.
