The Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) is pleased to announce that ANDRA Championship Drag Racing will return later this year with the announcement today that a new ANDRA Regional Championship for Sportsman competitors has been given the green light.
Six new ANDRA national records have been recorded between the recent South Coast 660 and Festival State Nationals events, held at South Coast Raceway (January 6-7) and Dragway at The Bend (January 13-14) respectively.

The 2022/23 Australian Top Doorslammer Championship will long be remembered as one of extreme highs and the lowest of lows. For John Zappia, that pattern firmly applied to Nitro Up North at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Drag Strip.
In front of a packed house, the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship and Australian Drag Racing Championship have celebrated not only event winners for Nitro Up North, but also the season Champions for Top Fuel, Top Doorslammer and Top Fuel Motorcycle at the Hidden Valley Drag Strip this evening.
Three rounds of racing are all that now separates the racers of the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship as well as the ADRC Top Doorslammer and ADRC Top Fuel Motorcycle titles.
As the end of the season approaches, husband-and-wife Top Doorslammer team Daniel and Lisa Gregorini have found themselves on opposite ends of the racing fortune spectrum.
The Australian Drag Racing Championship for Top Fuel Bike has seen points leader Rob Cassar haul his nitrous Kawasaki to all corners of the country, to fight for the championship that will reach its climax in Darwin. In fact, the Ballistic Drag Racing team have clocked up over 26000kms in travel for the championship that started in Darwin twelve months ago.
