Round two of the 2026 NSW Championship Series delivered another huge night of sportsman racing with packed fields and plenty of drama across the brackets, and now attention quickly turns to round three before the series heads into a short Winter break.
The first round of racing for BLAHST Top Fuel at the Gulf Western Oil Nitro Champs delivered dramatic scenes at Sydney Dragway on Sunday morning, as Damien Harris’ Atlantic Oils Rapisarda Autosport International dragster bucked and snapped across the track, come scarily close to his opponent in the process.
This weekend’s Gulf Western Oil Nitro Champs is set to be the biggest NDRC show Sydney Dragway has ever seen, with more than 300 racers and every championship bracket coming together for one giant nitro spectacle. It is the only Sydney round in 2026 to feature the full lineup – including all eight pro-level brackets – and is one of just three all‑brackets events on the national calendar.
Six of the fastest blown sedans in the Australia will take to Sydney Dragway on Saturday January 24, as ANDRA makes it return to the premier NSW drag racing venue with the ANDRA Drag Racing Masters.
Sydney Dragway turned back the clock with Bangers & Mash, polishing up the nostalgia drag racing scene in style. The event paid tribute to the pioneers and eras that shaped the sport, with wheelstanding gassers, nitro-charged funny cars and altereds lighting up the track. Off-track, chrome bumper classics, flame-throwing cacklers and rock ’n’ roll vibes kept the old school spirit alive for one unforgettable day at the strip.
It was billed as a one-day NDRC spectacular full of nitro mayhem and the Nitro Nationals presented by PW Brakes and Racer Industries at Sydney Dragway well and truly delivered Saturday, November 8.
