It is with deep sadness that Lamattina Top Fuel Racing (LTFR) announces its withdrawal from the upcoming 2024 Winternationals, scheduled for June 6-9 at Willowbank Raceway. The decision follows the sudden passing of ‘Uncle Tony’, a beloved uncle and integral supporter of the team.

The Top Fuel title chase has been incredibly close all season long, and as we head into the NDRC season-ending Gulf Western Oil Winternationals next weekend (6-9 June), one team occupies the top two spots with a narrow margin between them.

It has been a challenging weekend for Hydraulink Jim Read Racing at Sydney Dragway for the double header Nitro Champs, but that hasn’t stopped the team from maintaining their enduring positive outlook as they prepare for the season-ending Winternationals, coming up at Willowbank Raceway next month (June 6-9).

Peter Xiberras might have been on the East Coast this weekend while his PremiAir Nulon Racing Supercars team was racing in the West, but that didn’t stop him from leading by example this weekend, bringing home no less than two NDRC Top Fuel Championship round wins at the Gulf Western Oil Nitro Champs double header.
