The National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) has today announced two major additions to the 2026 calendar.
It has been a somewhat tumultuous year for the Queensland Drag Racing Championship. Over half the events to date finished with out much of result due a luckless run with the weather, this weekend (Nov 14) the teams shape up for season’s Grand Final which will be in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

The drag and drive scene is exploding world wide, in Australia, Allstars Drag and Drive is the latest iteration that saw entrants soak up three fantastic days of racing across two tracks carrying, or towing everything they needed from Willowbank Raceway to Warwick Dragway and back again.
The National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) and the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals – the largest championship drag racing event held outside of North America – are set to bring no end of drag racing thrills to tens of thousands of drag racing fans across June 5-8.
The NDRC New Year Nitro event at Willowbank Raceway proved to be an oppressive start for Top Fuel and Nitro Funny Car in 2025 with hellish weather condition forced upon the teams doing battle at round two of their respective NDRC Australian Championships.
A new year and the Kenda Tires 660 Drag Radial Series is back with their first of what is currently a six race calendar around Australia. The radial brigade headed to the series’ home track, Willowbank Raceway, for three big days of testing and racing (February 20-22).
A character-building New Year Nitro weekend at Willowbank Raceway has seen PremiAir Racing save the best for last at what was round two of the 2024/2025 NDRC Top Fuel Championship.
When it came to ways to celebrate Australia Day 2025, Willowbank Raceway was the place to be at the weekend for the latest round of the NDRC championship, featuring 11,000hp/500+kph Top Fuel Dragsters and XPRO Nitro Funny Cars, as well as the Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship.
After a challenging but necessary debut at the 2024 Winternationals, ‘The Pom’ Steve Read is putting that experience behind him and looking forward to a fresh start at Round 2 of the 2025 NDRC New Year Nitro at Willowbank Raceway this January 25–26.
