Round one of the 2019 Summit Racing Queensland Championship and the battle for prestigious ANDRA Copper Christmas Trees was held across the Easter long weekend at Roma’s Ironbark Raceway.

NxtGen Pro Stock at the 400 Thunder Super Thunder event once again proved to be another meeting of highs and lows for the Mega Fuels Pro Stock team cars. 

Coming into the Super Thunder Good Friday Easter event at Willowbank Raceway, Chris Matheson found himself in the uncomfortable position of sitting third in the 400 Thunder Top Bike Championship.

While drag racing in Australia has many differences to the USA, it is surprising we have never seen the introduction of injected nitro dragsters into the pro ranks. That is set to change with a planned match race at the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway in June.

Rod Harvey is not the only record smashing Kiwi on Australian shores after Barry Plumpton annihilated Australian nitrous records at the Gulf Western Oil Mega Race.

Earl McCallum is looking forward to getting in amongst the competition at this weekend’s opening round of the 2019 Summit Racing Queensland Championship at Roma’s Ironbark Raceway (April 20 and 21).
