West Australian drag racer Marty Dack feels his 3000 horsepower Ford Mustang is ready to make its mark, beginning with the City of Ipswich Winternationals this weekend.

Two ladies took out the big dollars at the first running of the Sportsman Shootout during qualifying for the City of Ipswich Winternationals.

Darren Morgan and his team are excited for this weekend’s City of Ipswich Winternationals in Queensland, the 400 Thunder Series finale.

It was delayed two days by the weather hell that was unleashed on the east coast over the weekend, but Winternationals competitors finally had a chance to hit the black top on Monday in readiness for this weekend’s event.

Yvette Gregg became the first woman to receive the Perth Motorplex Drag Racer of the Year Award recently, with the Super Sedan driver left speechless by the honour.

The 2016 Track Championship Series launched last Saturday night, with bracket numbers high and the racing giving a sign of what is to come this drag racing season.
