Craig Glassby, the owner of Australia’s quickest Top Alcohol Funny Car, will have some added support on board when the team heads east for the Winternationals.

Queensland-based racer Paul Messineo will take the wheel of The Bandit rather than his more familiar Dark Horse Mustang as than Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro funny Car show heads north to Mackay’s Palmyra Dragway, May 16.

Rapisarda Autosport International will make Top Fuel history at the Sydney Dragway Nitro champs on May 2-3 when they become the first Australian team to ever field four cars in the elite category.

With 2 wins from the first 2 championship events of the season, Gary Phillips and his Lucas Oils team head to Sydney Dragway on May 2 & 3 for the Nitro Champs, looking to continue the strong form that has seen them catapult to the top of the Top Alcohol championship standings.

Grant O’Rourke will be flying solo for the husband and wife drag racing team O’Rourke Motorsport at the Nitro Champs at Sydney Dragway (May 2-3), with Debbie O’Rourke sidelined due to damage sustained to her Top Alcohol funnycar at last month’s Pro Series 1000.

It’s the car that is creating plenty of buzz in the Top Fuel paddock and for the very first time Mark Sheehan’s brand new Morgan Lucas Racing-built dragster, complete with canopy over the cockpit, will be racing on Australia’s east coast.
