The longest run season is championship Drag Racing history came to an end last weekend @ Sydney Dragway.

The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars has a new star and it’s not another new driver – it’s a new car. Named the Nitro Sheriff, the wheelstanding funny car will be entertaining the crowd at the Sydney Dragway’s US versus Australia event on November 23.

The Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA), the drag racing sanctioning body of Australia, has announced a tie up with AKT Strategic Consulting as part of its overall strategy to expand overseas and seek global partners.

Ballarat drag racer Matt Forbes struck gold in Sydney twice on the weekend, claiming two major trophies on the same day.

Queensland brother and sister Scott Bettes and Kelly Corbett were part of an Australian-first at Sydney Dragway’s Australian Nationals when they lined up against each other in the final for the Modified bracket at the weekend (1-3 November 2013).

Team Bray Racing’s Victor Bray has come oh-so-close to a final round win during the 2012/2013 ANDRA Top Doorslammer Season Finale with an Australian Nationals final appearance against eventual winner John Zappia.

For Chris Hall and Tony Bellert there will be absolutely no margin for error when it comes time to hit Willowbank Raceway for the Track Championship Season Finale on 16 November 2013.

  Willowbank Raceway’s FUCHS Winternationals was honoured this evening at the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Business Awards, in which the event was one of three finalists for the Ipswich Turf Club Tourism/Event of the Year Award.

The Australian Nationals rounded out the longest ANDRA season in decades on Sunday at Sydney Dragway with dramatic final rounds crowning the champions in hot and windy conditions.
